Brother and Sister Hibernians:
We hope that you had a happy and holy Christmas and a fruitful start to your 2007! As we look forward to the New Year we can begin to look forward to our New York State AOH/LAOH convention in Albany. The dates are July 11th-14th, and the convention is being held for the first time ever in beautiful and historic downtown Albany at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Single or double rooms are $102 per night plus tax. To make reservations please contact the hotel directly at 518-462-6611. You must refer to the Hibernians when making your reservation and in order to guarantee the rate RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE BY JUNE 28TH.
The convention itself promises to be a great time with a full schedule of events planned beginning on Wednesday morning with the choice of golf at the Schenectady municipal golf course or a trip to the Racino in Saratoga and the shopping outlets in Lake George. The fun continues on Thursday with our fabulous free night program on Thursday that includes a bus trip to the three Capital District Hibernian Halls and a FREE concert at the Riverfront Park featuring Cherish The Ladies and local favorites Hair of the Dog. A full schedule of all of the week’s events is enclosed for your reference.
Enclosed as well, are registration forms. journal forms, registration forms for the free night and other important information. Please be sure to return the forms to the INDIVIDUAL AND ADDRESS indicated for each event and to observe all deadlines for registration. It is also important that you fill out each form ACCURATLEY AND COMPLETELY so that we ensure that each event runs smoothly and that there is no confusion with your registration.
Hospitality suites are available for the convention and are priced at $125 per night plus tax. Suites can only be reserved by contacting State Convention Chairman Matt Nelligan at 518-729-4563.
